Cocaine Use

Cocaine use is massive within social circles, virtually everywhere. Drugs can be fun and it’s easy to understand why people get caught up in the lifestyle. For a person in show business, who constantly has to be “on” for the audience, cocaine can be a professional “pick me up” that helps them keep their mind at a manic high. For an unknown poverty-stricken young man in the ghetto, sampling cocaine may be an escape from the go-nowhere fate he feels is waiting for him. Others may seek out drugs to cope with the stress and anxiety of real life. Cocaine use may be a problem. Cocaine effects can be fatal.

The list of celebrities that have been arrested for cocaine use or who have been submitted to a rehab clinic for treatment is a long one, and potentially embarrassing one, so we won’t be mentioning these individuals. However, the examples of these media spot lighters humbling themselves and seeking help with a very real problem should inspire drug addicts everywhere to do the same. It’s never too late to get help with a drug problem.

Remember that as enjoyable as cocaine can be initially, and despite any logical argument for the legalization of drugs, evidence shows that cocaine does kill and does lead to physical and mental damage. The world lost some very creative and likable people including John Belushi, Chris Farley, Mitch Hedberg, River Phoenix and Layne Staley (Alice in Chains) because of cocaine overdoses and related problems. We don’t have to preach to you about the dangers of cocaine because the facts speak for themselves.
