Can a 17 Year Old Be Charged as an Adult After Distributing Cocaine?
Question by Bathes With Toasters.: Can a 17 year old be charged as an adult after distributing cocaine?
Someone I know was caught distributing cocaine. He has a long history as a juvenile with drugs and one on battery. Will he most likely be charged as an adult?
Please, don’t tell me I need to find better friends. Just answer the question. Thanks.

YES
Absolutely.
He already has a criminal record and is selling ‘hard’ drugs. He will be doing time in an ‘adult’ prison too.
No, they’re not usually charged as an adult unless they hurt someone. I knew a 17 year old in the same situation and he still was just charged as a juvenile.
yeha
Most likely he will be charged as an adult but this is entirely up to the District Attorney’s office.
Yes he will. Since there is a prior history it might make matters worse.
