Lonely Rehab Girl asked: I’ve been doing drugs for almost a year now, and they’ve gotten me no where, I want to change, but I don’t really know sometimes.
I honestly want to keep doing it, just maybe not hurt my family or sister.
Yesterday as I wrote in my other question I just posted, i did a gram of Cocaine in one line, which is very very unhealthy, and I could have died.
On top of that, my eyes were watering I was shaking and showing other signs. I decided I couldn’t lie to my sister about it and told her I did a bump.
she was livid because I’m going away to rehab in a few days, depressing as it is.
I just miss when we used to connect, instead of her trying to always go to her friends houses and us never talking, I know she’s upset and cares a lot, but I don’t want her to worry so much about me, I do this because I like to escape, but i wish I could find another way then I’ve been doing over the yrs.
cutting, throwing up, not eating, burning, bruising myself, doing drugs. etc. I just need help?

jak asked: I did coke a few times a couple months back.. A couple days after doing it I had uncontrollable shaking, urges to move around and could not pay attention to anything. I thought I was going to die and could not sleep for a couple days.. It hasn’t happened again but a lot of the time I feel out of it and I feel like I cant really pay attention as much as I used to..Also, I still have slight tremors through my body and arms+hands, it has been 3 months since I have done it. Is this going be a permanent effect on my body/mind? Can it be me just being paranoid and scared that it did do something negative to my body?

42 asked: There are some new pharmaceuticals on the market that will stop the cravings that addictive drugs cause. For example, cocaine will affect the primitive pleasure and reward center of the brain causing a person to seek out the drug at the expense of rational goals. These new meds are supposed to short circuit that link allowing a person to make rational decisions and to “choose” to quit. Has anyone had any experience with these meds either as a therapist or an addict?

danieldealer asked: I stopped taking Lexapro about 3 years ago and have been off anti-depressants since. I went to my doctor to get back on the wagon and she suggested I take Cymbalta. I started four days ago on 20mg doses. I’ve noticed that a lot of people on Yahoo Answers are saying they’ve been tired and mopey, but I’m the exact opposite. I feel extremely hyperactive and shaky. If anyone has ever taken ecstacy or cocaine, it’s that kind of hyperactivity without the mind altering (I’m a recovering addict).I’ve been having somewhat shitty sleep, but that’s to be expected. My appetite is nonexistant. I’ve had half a bowl of rice today and it’s 8:30PM. Sex has been the last thing on my mind, and as a 25 year old, that’s kind of depressing in itself. In fact, that’s why I stopped taking Lexapro. Also, to those who have diarrhea, it’s perfectly normal and it will go away. Take your meds with starchy foods. I’m just curious if anyone else has had these symptoms and how long they lasted. Thank you
No, I’m definitely not bipolar. I’ve been in treatment with bipolar patients and we have very different depression issues. I’m more of a rage-aholic. I dont get manic, but more short-tempered about stupid things. I’ve been in treatment enough to where if they didn’t catch any bipolarism, then I definitely dont have it.

Nerudao asked: I am supposed to be a part of a psychiatric study that involves 2 PET Scans and an MRI. Prior to one of these scans, I will be injected with a small dose of amphetamines. I am worried that I will become addicted. I do not have a history of drug addiction and my family does not have a history of addiction. Should I pull out of the study?
