raygunaut asked:

I asked a good question as to what effect his cocaine and alcohol abuse has informed US policy and for no reason that I can see the question was censored with no comment….has the NSA and the bush neocons penetrated this forum and has now set up free speech zones? where are these free speech zones?
what is happening to free speech in this country?

Free speech is not the same as freedom from consequence. Quit whining…you make statements that are meant to be inflammatory and people have an EQUAL right to protest your speech.

Edit: Again, quit whining! You can say whatever you want, but people don’t have to like it. So if you get deleted…tough. That’s freedom of speech, too.

Citizens should have the right to question the mental stability/capacity of their leader. It’s a good question.
I hope you’re wrong about the free speech issue. I’ve seen many question that are much more controversial on this forum.

To make a statement like that you must have some evidence. I am only aware that he was once arrested for a DUI and there was an attempt to either cover that up or avoid sitting on a jury and having to reveal it.

I have never seen anything about Bush using cocaine.

Free speech is reserved for factual debate. It doesn’t mean you can throw anything out there to see what sticks.

it isn’t wrong to ask, but in these oh so perilous times, you must ask in a non-troll manner, if you want to be taken seriously.

The question, “Has Bush’s past admitted drug use affected his Presidency?” is a legitimate question, even if the Neo Cons think it isn’t.

If talking about President Clinton’s sex life is allowed (and to a Republican it is not only allowed, it is MANDATORY), talking about “Cokey” Bush’s past indiscretions is allowed, as well.

Just rephrase your question and take the emotionally charged words out.

This is a serious answer:

When either side asks questions and use personal inflammatory statements in sweeping generalizations or outrageous speculation then the question will be likely attacked. It won’t really spark a critical debate… it just fans the flames of either side hating each other. You will get people who will just attack you and then you will get people who will laugh and say that you are a genius…. Either way you have not really made people think about a valid issue.

Do I think he did cocaine and he was/is a alcoholic? Probably but lots of people cope with addictions and have succeeded. They fail too. But this could also be said about sober people… some succeed and some fail. I don’t think Bush’s alcoholism has any significance to his presidency. Remember that Bush is not a king (though he often presents himself as one) and his policies are shaped by a LOT of people and I doubt that his whole team are alcoholics and coke bingers.

With as much drug use as there has been among liberal hippies, you would think that they would have the decency to admit their own brain damage.

Surely 3 decades of regular use is more dangerous than a little experimentation by the president!

Because questions like this show that your brain is more damaged?

I don’t know .. just a guess.

When will liberals stop whining about irrelevant things and actually try to solve problems by doing something other than making America look bad and overspending (like trying to add 40% to the S-CHIP bill and trying to cover children of people making $70,000+ OR like trying to back door immigration amnesty yesterday with the DREAM act in the Senate).

‘It’s interesting how Liberals can find fault with a Republican who is an admitted alcoholic but can’t see any thing wrong when it’s a Democrat who has done the same thing. Don’t forget “I have to get some of this for my brother he has a nose like a vacuum cleaner”.
